Bocas Del Toro, Panama
This is my first city review, so please let me know what else you’d like to know!
Where to stay
Ready for the most beautiful place ever? I stayed in a place on Airbnb actually called, “Tree Cabin M-walking distance to great surf” and I don’t have enough good things to say about it. It’s a little commune of treehouses built by an American couple, Amanda and Asher. Amanda was beyond cool to talk to and extremely helpful even getting a taxi set up for me at 6 am. They had an amazing pool I didn’t even have time to utilize but this place is unreal. Take a look…
Where to eat
Eating by myself is still something I’m working on so I usually end up choosing more casual settings. Tequila Republic was one of my favorite places with such delicious margaritas. I also stopped at Skullys with the most insane ocean views.
The real highlight of my trip though, and ask anyone, was dinner at Azul. I have never had a fancy multi course dinner before like this. This is an absolute must do if you go! You could choose either vegetarian or meat and the 6 course meal is preplanned. It was insane. Oh, and 19.99 USD, seriously.
I had a lot of other delicious food including this fish plate for lunch at a hut (they’re all the same) on Starfish beach.
What to do
There is SO much to do in Bocas. My main suggestion would be take the $5 bus, round trip, to Starfish beach. The bus picks you up in the park, I had no idea if I was going the right place or where it was taking me and it was one of those days where everything worked out, love those. It’s a 10 minutes walk on the beach that is SO beautiful and the beach itself is lovely.
Also, rent a 4-wheeler! There are tons of kiosks around town don’t pay more than $60 for a full day!
I hope you guys enjoyed the city review and please go visit Bocas! It’s too beautiful! XxAbby
